Happy Birthday Aunt Diana
Happy Happy Birthday to Aunt Diana. We celebrated her birthday with a BBQ and ice cream cake. This was Connor first Birthday Party and he had a great time! Connor had a lot of fun visiting with his cousins. Riley helped Connor practiced his tummy time - and I have to say Connor is getting very good at it.
We cannot wait for the next birthday party!

Family Outing
We had our first family outing yesterday to Oberweis - Connor was a good boy and slept through the whole thing. Barry and I enjoyed our ice cream very much and we know that Connor will be looking forward to eating ice cream with his Grandpa when he gets older. I'm sure we will be visiting Oberweis a lot!
We also had our first walk the other day too. The weather has been perfect and it feels so good to get some fresh air. He is not a big fan of getting into his seat, but once he is in there and in the stroller he is good. He slept most of the walk. When we were walking around the block Connor got to meet some of the neighbors that were outside. We walked past the horses and the park - he will love to go visit the horses and go to the park when he is older. In the meantime we just point them out to him.

First Doctor's Appointment
Today Connor had his very first doctor's appointment. He was a champ. The doctor and nurse were very excited that he was back to his birth weight (5 pounds, 13 ounces).
He only cried when the doctor started the exam and he was not wrapped in his nice warm blanket - after the exam and back under the blanket he was a happy camper again.
With his clean bill of health we do not have to go back until his 1 month appointment.
Way to go Connor!!

First Days Home
After 2 days in the hospital it was time to take Connor home. We were so excited to get him home!
We have had a lot of visitors and it has been wonderful. He is eating and sleeping really well (knock on wood). He loves to be held and cuddled a lot. Ah, it is an amazing feeling being a mom! I cannot get over how much love I have for him!

A date that has change our lives forever. It was by far one of the best days of our lives. Our son Connor James Wells was born.
I was supposed to be induced at 7:30am on May 16th. Knowing this, we were prepared to go to the hospital the night before. Mr. Connor had little different plan for us. Around 2:30am on Wednesday (May 16th), I woke up not feeling so great and in some pain and thought this could be "it", but was not sure. I decided to take a shower about a half hour later since I was going to have to get up anyways pretty soon to be induced. After the shower my pain was getting worse and the contractions really started to come more often - then my water broke a little while later. Barry was also getting ready for the day when I called to doctor to let her know what was going on and was told that we needed to go to the hospital as soon as we could. So, we pack up the car and off we go to the hospital around 4:30am. We get to the hospital and get checked in, got some pain medicine and shortly after I got an epidural (one of my best friends that day).
After waiting a couple of hours, it was go time. 40 minutes later our son was born and he was perfect.

Weight: 5 lbs 13 oz
Height: 19.6"
We could not be more in love with our little peanut. He is an absolute joy and such a blessing in our lives. After 9 months, I could not believe that he was here. Our hospital stay was good and he has been a really great baby. We had lots of wonderful visits from family and friends. We are so lucky to have such amazing people in our lives. Connor was excited to meet all of them. Thank you for all who visits and if you have not met him yet, we cannot wait for you to meet him.

Almost there!
We are in the home stretch! Connor will be here before we know it. The doctor has decided to induce me on May 16th (next Wednesday). That is only 5 days before the original due date. We are very very very excited to finally get to meet our little guy. We cannot wait to see what he looks like, how big he is and show him how much we love him! I believe we are all set for his arrival - just counting down the days.
